We are working to generate opportunities to improve the life of people in vulnerable situations in Cancun.

Interview with Elena Ortegón, founder of the community dining Huellas de Pan.

Huellas de Pan AC is a non-profit founded in 2009, which aims to provide food security to vulnerable people in the urban area of Cancun.

Its main function is to generate opportunities for children and adolescents to improve their nutrition, education, and integral development. Committed to our society and the fulfillment of the 17 UN goals, in Cancun Sailing, we help Huellas de Pan to achieve their goals through:

  • Monthly financial support for the purchase and preparation of nutritious food for children and adolescents enrolled in the Huellas de Pan program.

  • Catamaran tours to Isla Mujeres for children and adolescents enrolled in the program who had an outstanding academic performance. This helps them to stay motivated in their studies.

  • Educational meetings in our Marina Chac Chi for the screening of the documentary "Chasing Coral" and other activities.

  • Liaison between Huellas de Pan and The Code Program. With this alliance, members of The Code provide the Huellas de Pan staff with the knowledge to identify and follow possible cases of sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism.
  • Donation of educational material developed by The Code so that members of Huellas de Pan can learn how to protect themselves against sexual exploitation while playing.

  • Development of educational tables and didactic games such as Mexican Loteria, memory games, and snakes and ladders on subjects such as reef care, marine animals, and emotions.

  • Organization and promotion of charity events and donations on behalf of Huellas de Pan.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS WE FULFILL WITH THESE ACTIONS:
